Operating Practices

Matex is working on an integrated and highly efficient global management system for successful implementation of its sustainability strategy and objectives. Various internationally acknowledged requirements and their control mechanisms are used to improve our management system performance in accordance to our cultural behavior.

Ongoing compliance reviews, and internal/external auditing of processes, procedures and measures verify that actual business development complies with internal and external regulations Matex subscribes.

Furthermore Matex’s production plants around the world are scrutinized for potential risks and optimization opportunities, and we work with customers, outsourcing partners and service providers to improve the entire process chain and check for compliance with our standards.

With global guidelines for ensuring product and production safety as an essential component, the system involves an extensive body of regulations, programs and a Groupwide risk measurement system to limit the impact of business on the environment, health and safety to the greatest extent possible. We support all employees in their responsibility to ensure proper operation of the system through regular training sessions and incentives linked to sustainability targets.

An inclusive workplace also depends on free and open communications within the Group and with the rest of society. To promote an open communication culture that supports a tolerant workplace free from discrimination, employees are encouraged to raise any workplace concerns through a variety of channels and the Group also has put in place a whistle-blowing policy and channels for employees to report any misconduct or wrongdoing in the workplace without any fear of reprisals.

Matex further aims to have in place a comprehensive supplier program with integrated evaluation of sustainability, quality and commercial performance of our suppliers. One that covers aspects from approval of new suppliers to performance evaluation and operation practices.

Further key areas and their key performance indicators we have and can work on include. Read More
